For months now, we’ve watched GOP “candidates” emerge and participate in worthless debates. We’ve watched as state courts remove (and attempt to remove) Trump from the primary ballot. We’ve watched the orange man get charged in four criminal cases. But the truth is, none of this really matters. Trump’s coming. And he’s not backing down.
If you think that Donald Trump won’t be the GOP nominee, think again. He’s so far ahead in the polls that he doesn’t even have to participate in the primary debates. He’s appealing his removal from ballots in the courts that he packed just a few years ago. And as far as his criminal charges go, it’s not as if The Donald has never swept a scandal under the rug before.
Could this weaken him? Yes. Does it change the outcome in Iowa? Not in the slightest.
Some voters still believe in him. They’ll say his economy was great. They’ll say his gangster-style approach to foreign policy was effective. They’ll say he never incited a riot on our nation’s capitol in 2021. They’ll say that he is the right choice for America in 2024.
