“Tonight, the Wisconsin GOP chose an ultra-MAGA true believer who refuses to admit Joe Biden won and has left open the possibility of trying to illegally overturn the results of the 2020 election.

“Michels has no interest in governing the state, only in helping Donald Trump further his ambitions to retake power in whatever scheme they can concoct. He will only pursue an ultra-MAGA agenda that will fight a culture war and empower the worst the state has to offer. Tim Michels’ candidacy should motivate every Wisconsinite who loves democracy to get involved in the election and do all they can to stop him from attaining power.”
