May 24, 2021 — Today, The Lincoln Project announced it will relaunch its signature online streaming service: LPTV beginning Tuesday, May 25th. The online platform will once again play host to two weekly political commentary programs: The Breakdown, hosted by LP Co-Founder Rick Wilson and LP Senior Advisor Tara Setmayer and We’re Speaking, hosted by writer and comedian Maya May and writer, entrepreneur, and activist Lisa Senecal.

“The relaunch of LPTV is the latest example of Lincoln Project’s growing strength and impact ahead of the 2022 midterm election cycle,” said Tara Setmayer, senior advisor to The Lincoln Project and co-host of The Breakdown. “We believe it’s imperative to use our platform to inform and inspire the broader Lincoln Project audience and political community to protect and defend our democracy and hold those who don’t, accountable.”

“The Lincoln Project’s LPTV online platform was created to articulate our organization’s mission, to move and motivate voters, and to curate a space where the tough, frank, conversations missing in so much of today’s siloed political punditry can engage our viewers,” said Rick Wilson, co-founder of The Lincoln Project and co-host of The Breakdown. “We’re excited to be back in the mix with increased production capacity and look forward to bringing new LPTV shows, specials and interactive content for our viewers.”

LPTV’s signature program, The Breakdown, is not your father’s news program. Hosts Rick Wilson and Tara Setmayer bring their decades of combined political insider knowledge to the viewers as they breakdown the hottest political news and interview guests with their signature quick wit and non nonsense candor live every Tuesday and Thursday evening at 8 pm.

We’re Speaking, hosted by Maya May and Lisa Senecal, examines the most pressing issues facing our country and the particular impact those issues have on the lives of women and BIPOC. Viewers are educated, entertained, and inspired by interviews with women who are experts in their fields and the women facing these issues and working to create real and lasting change to make our country more equitable and our democracy stronger.

In its five-month run in 2020, LPTV drew almost 30 million views across YouTube, Facebook and Twitter streaming, with 1.7 million hours of LPTV content watched. In 2021, LPTV’s numbers are on pace to meet or exceed those statistics.

LPTV will officially relaunch with The Breakdown on May 25 at 8:00 PM ET, followed by We’re Speaking on May 26 at 8:00 PM ET.

All LPTV programming can be streamed live on YouTube and Facebook.
