THE LINCOLN PROJECT: New Ad Eviscerating Fox News

February 28, 2023 — Today, the Lincoln Project released, “Fox Knew”, a new ad eviscerating Rupert Murdoch and Fox News for deceitfully pushing stolen election lies, tricking their audience, and stoking the violence of January 6th.

For years, Murdoch positioned Fox News as the propaganda wing of the MAGA movement. Thinking his viewers are stupid, he deliberately enraged his audience with the lurid conspiracy theories to keep them glued to his network.

You can watch the ad here. It will run digitally Wednesday through Friday geo-fenced around CPAC, the RNC, Mar-a-Lago and to news organizations in Washington, DC.

“I wonder how the Fox audience would feel if they knew that Rupert, Sean, Tucker, Laura and the rest of the crew at Fox were laughing at them off-air? Their contempt for the MAGA audience is boundless,” said Rick Wilson, Co-Founder of The Lincoln Project.

“Rupert Murdoch is an arsonist burning down America for ego, power, and money” continued Wilson. “Murdoch and the FOX News performers laughed at the lies and garbage they spewed at viewers every single night. Fox set itself up as the MAGA propaganda wing, then used that position to enrage viewers with lies day and night for weeks until the mob finally stormed the Capitol. Murdoch and the rest of the FOX News ‘family’ bear responsibility for the brutal spectacle and need to be held accountable.”
