August 31, 2022 — The Lincoln Project released a new ad today that tells Americans not to fall for Republican attempts to distract from the economic and policy leadership President Biden is providing.

You can watch the ad here. It will run on cable in Bedminster, NJ and Mar-A-Lago, FL. It will also run digitally in Washington, DC targeting Washington, DC based media.

Republicans know they are in trouble and need to change the conversation fast. They are going to use the oldest play in the book and start the racial dog whistles disguised as police support.

But it won’t work this time. Because the leader of the personality cult formerly known as the GOP is a criminal who fomented an insurrection and stole classified materials of the highest levels.

“If the GOP was serious about crime, they should start with the leader of their own party and condemn Donald Trump for mishandling classified material and leading an insurrection,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of The Lincoln Project. “The public must not fall for it, and the media needs to call it out for what it is: nothing more than a tactic to distract from President Biden’s success and Donald Trump’s ongoing criminal behavior.”
