The Fight Is On
If you think the political world has flipped upside down, you wouldn’t be wrong.
Don’t be fooled by the doom and gloom. There are winnable races around the country, and we are fighting in nearly every one of them. Consider all the new polling from around the country:
- A new poll has Warnock up 10 points on Herschel Walker in Georgia. That may decide the Senate.
- Mastriano is trailing in Pennsylvania’s critical Governor’s race.
- And aggregators like 538 are now showing control of the Senate is likely a toss up.
- Even when people think Democrats would get wiped out in the House – new national polling taken after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade tells a different story. Polls have generic Republicans trailing by several points nationally — some as many as 7 — in the generic Congressional ballot. This is the first lead in such a ballot Dems have had in months. The SCOTUS decisions could be seismic.
- The January 6th Committee hearings are burning in. 67% of Americans now support the Justice Department bringing charges against those who tried to overturn the election. And this was from a poll taken before Tuesday’s bombshell hearing.
There are a lot of organizations out there who are trying to beat the ultra-MAGA mob. But you’re reading this right now because you know that nobody can break through the noise and win elections like we can. And with the intra-GOP civil war in full swing, our tactics are more important than ever. We can turn people off of Trump and DeSantis right now and make a lasting impact for 2024. We can pop the Fox bubble and get people consuming real facts again. All of this is possible.
What the polls I’m seeing tell me is that we are not just spinning our wheels. The messages matter. The candidates matter. And the choice between responsible leadership and total crazy is a winning message for us. Voters just have to hear it.
We are a long way out. Don’t be fooled or complacent by these numbers. There is still a lot of hard work to do.
Thank you for keeping us in this fight.
