Thank You

When you saw my name pop into your inbox today, you must’ve thought I was going to rip into the latest SINO (Speaker In Name Only) elected to lead the House.

On that note – Is Mike Johnson even a real person? Or, was he forged from the mud of right-wing extremist movement politics like an Orc? (Ew, as much as I like Tolkein, now I’m going to spend the rest of my day getting that image out of my head.)

No, I’m reaching out today to say thank you. That’s it.

In a recent strategy meeting, we were tossing around ad ideas and plotting our next Trump takedown. Then, the conversation turned to the pro-democracy team and all the work you’ve done to help build the greatest anti-MAGA movement in American politics.

When we first started The Lincoln Project nearly four years ago, Trump was the favorite for re-election and there wasn’t a political organization anywhere doing the necessary work we do to defeat him.

Since our founding, we’ve built the largest pro-democracy movement in America. We’ve defeated Trump, elected President Biden, and helped keep MAGA extremists out of key offices around the country. We’ve accomplished all that work because of you.

You’re brave when it’s not easy. You’re defiant, when so many falter. You’re tough, when it’d be easier to hide. You’re loud, when most just sit quietly. You’re fighters for an idea called America, an idea the Trump Right, the MAGA movement, and their billionaire funders can’t stand.

Whenever you watch and share our ads, pitch in a contribution, or step up to volunteer, you’re on the front lines of protecting American democracy.

Speaking for this entire team, I’m honored and humbled you let us fight by your side and on your behalf.

We’ll never stop.

With true gratitude for all you do,

P.S. We’ve got some great ads coming up over the next couple months. I can’t wait to share them with you… and with Trump. Somehow I think he’ll be less thrilled.

There is no time for complacency.

There is no time for living room activism. Every day must be spent asking ourselves if we’re doing our part, if we’re doing enough to ensure that the grand idea called America continues.

Thank you for joining us in this fight.
