NEW LINCOLN PROJECT AD: NIKE, UNITEDHEALTHCARE, AND GOOGLE SUPPORT FASCIST CANDIDATES

October 27, 2022 — In a new ad, The Lincoln Project calls out Google, Nike and UnitedHealthcare for supporting fascist candidates who believe in the ‘Big Lie’ that Donald Trump won the 2020 election. All three companies gave money to the Republican Governors Association to promote candidates like Kari Lake and antisemite Doug Mastriano. Both are dangerous candidates only interested in obtaining power and rolling back individual rights.

The ad can be seen here. The ads will run digitally around the headquarters of all three companies, as well as the state capitals of Carson City, NV; Madison, WI; Lansing, MI; Harrisburg, PA; and Phoenix, AZ.

“Americans’ money is being used to support fascist candidates who are uninterested in governing and only want to consolidate power,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of The Lincoln Project. “These three companies are more interested in profits than free and fair elections. Consumers must tell them to eliminate funding for the RGA and stop undermining our democratic processes and institutions.”
