THE LINCOLN PROJECT SHOWS THE GOP’S RETREAD CONTRACT WITH AMERICA ISN’T NEEDED

September 19, 2022 – The Republican Party will soon offer a new version of the Contract with America in an attempt to take credit for President Biden’s successful leadership. In a new ad, The Lincoln Project shows how President Biden is overseeing an economy creating a record number of jobs, supporting freedom fighters in Ukraine, making our cities safer, and working to make the nation energy independent.

You can watch the ad here. It will run on cable news in Washington, DC and digitally on Capitol Hill. The ad will also run digitally in battleground Congressional districts that could decide the balance of power in the House. It targets traditional Republicans turned off by ultra-MAGA and believe that Joe Biden won legitimately in 2020.

“America doesn’t need a retread of a 20 year old plan with reckless spending and bad ideas like destroying Social Security,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of The Lincoln Project. “This is McCarthy’s attempt to look relevant to his caucus and change the momentum of the election. McCarthy knows President Biden is running rings around them on policy and the economy. President Biden is providing the national leadership the ultra-MAGA Republican Party cannot muster.”
