Lincoln Project Statement On 9/11 Anniversary

September 11, 2023 – The Lincoln Project releases the following statement in honor of the anniversary of the September 11th attacks: 

“Twenty two years ago, extremists attacked America. The destruction, loss, and images of that day will never leave anyone who witnessed them. The individual citizens, first responders, and members of our military who gave their last full measure of devotion awe and humble us still. 

“Today we honor their memories and recommit ourselves to ensuring that their sacrifice was not in vain; that the America they knew: The beacon of humanity, democracy, and freedom will continue. We honor the lost, and pray for those left behind.”
