“The stakes of the 2024 election may be the highest since the Civil War. All Americans need to realize that democracy is on the ballot and that 2024 could be the last free election. The nation has a stark choice between an authoritarian movement led by Donald Trump that wants to destroy our democratic institutions versus all those who serve the cause of freedom.  

“The MAGA movement is a direct threat to American democracy. It’s a violent nationalistic cult that embraces wild conspiracies and scapegoats the vulnerable. Its only goal is to attain power for someone who doesn’t care about the national interest and will rule with impunity, going after all those who do not show him unquestioned loyalty. 

“Trump can win this election and no amount of indictments will stop him and his followers; MAGA can only be defeated at the ballot box. Anyone sitting out and failing to engage at this critical moment in American history only emboldens the MAGA movement and ensures that Trump wins the White House. 

“President Biden is the only candidate who is accountable to the rule of law and will work to preserve our founding democratic principles. The stakes could not be higher. Voting for President Biden is the only way to ensure the continuation of democracy.”
