Lincoln Project on PA Catching Vote Fraud And Potential For Violence
October 25, 2024 —Lincoln Project’s statement on reports of potential fraudulent voter registration forms in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania:
“Yesterday, it was Colorado, today it’s election officials in Pennsylvania who have caught an attempt at election interference. Across the country, the system is doing its job and preventing major attempts at falsifying ballots, and registration fraud.
“We are raising the alarm that states must prepare for their own J6-style events in local polling locations and counting centers. The next attack on the system will include violence, fraudulent voting plots, and legal battles meant to inject uncertainty in the process to destabilize the system.
“We’ve already seen a burned ballot box in Arizona and the thwarting of a likely plot to commit a mass shooting. This is only the beginning and the states must ensure the safety of the count to keep confidence in the system.
“We all remember Trump’s attempt to overthrow the election in 2020. In Georgia his MAGA sycophants have already tried legal shenanigans to make it easier to thwart the will of the voters. And Trump’s crazy rhetoric is increasing violent threats.
“Let’s be clear, Trump’s sycophants are determined to win, even if they have to cheat, lie, steal, or kill to do so. Vigilance is paramount to defending the sanctity of our electoral process this year. If you see something strange, report it immediately to the Supervisor of Elections office.”
