GLENN YOUNGKIN MAKES DIRECT APPEAL TO VIRGINIA’S NEO-NAZIS BY APPEARING ON SEBASTIAN GORKA’S RADIO SHOW
LINCOLN PROJECT DEBUTS NEW AD: “DRAGON OF BUDAPEST”
October 13, 2021 — Today, The Lincoln Project released a new ad titled “Dragon of Budapest.” The commercial tells the story of Youngkin’s effort to make himself a more attractive candidate to radical right wingers, white supremesists, and anti-semites by appearing on Sebastian Gorka’s radio program.
Gorka, one of Donald Trump’s most outspoken supporters, has a long history of promoting white nationalism. The radio show host has built a public persona around his anti-Semitic beliefs — even donning Nazi militia garb. Yet, still Glenn Youngkin begged to join the neo-Nazi’s show and brag about his intent to impose the Trump agenda on the people of Virginia.
”Seb Gorka is a known fanboy of neo-Nazi groups in Europe, a man who says white supremacists are not a problem in this country, and one of Donald Trump‘s most belligerent and buffoonish supporters,” Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson. “As a thought leader in the authoritarian America-first movement, Gorka’s positions are evident and repellent to most Virginia voters.
“Why would Glenn Youngkin go on his show? It’s obvious. Youngkin is the man he plays on TV. He’s a Trumper, and will impose the Trump agenda on Virginia if he’s elected governor. Kissing Gorka’s ample rear is just one more piece of evidence that Virginia voters must reject Glenn Youngkin this November.”
