Lincoln Project on Arizona Ballot Box Attack & Potential for More Violence  

October 24, 2024 —The Lincoln Project released the following statement after a USPS collection box containing ballots was set ablaze in Maricopa County, Arizona.

“Sadly, this is probably only the beginning as Trump and his MAGA allies have already shown their willingness to provoke violence to disrupt voting and the counting of votes in order to win. Every Governor and Secretary of State needs to step up security and prepare for a probable coming onslaught of violence. They also need to prepare to push back against legal gamesmanship, like the Georgia State Board Of Elections was just stopped from pursuing.

“The right to vote is sacred, but Donald Trump and his supporters don’t respect the voice of the people, only that they win by any means necessary. Protecting the vote isn’t over on November 5th, but must continue all the way until the next President is sworn in.”
