November 3, 2020—Today The Lincoln Project released a new ad highlighting Donald Trump’s efforts to suppress Wisconsin voters. The ad centers around the Trump campaign efforts to dragoon Wisconsin Republicans into manipulating the election in their state — closing polling places, ignoring military votes, throwing out mail-in ballots, and intimidating voters.
“Donald Trump knows he cannot win this election if every vote is counted, so he and his partners in the Wisconsin Repulican Party have turned to voter suppression as their closing game plan,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of The Lincoln Project. “As the ad states: If you’re an elected official in Wisconsin helping to steal the election for Trump, you will be caught and you will face the consequences.”
Wisconsin will help decide who will be the next president of the United States, and not only is counting every vote the right thing to do — it is also the law. If you violate the law, you will face the consequences.
