NEW LINCOLN PROJECT AD: TRUMP’S ‘BIG LIE’ WAS A CASH GRAB

June 22, 2022 – A new ad from The Lincoln Project shows Donald Trump knew he was a loser in the 2020 election, then created the ’Big Lie’ in the greatest political con in American political history.

During the January 6th Committee hearings, the nation learned that Trump’s daughter Ivanka, Attorney General Bill Barr and multiple campaign staffers informed him he lost the election. Yet Trump and his crony lawyers created a fake legal cover for a scheme to steal the money from their supporters and incite the insurrection at the capitol.

“Since the night of the election, Donald Trump has known he’s a loser,” said Reed Galen, co-founder of the Lincoln Project. “He pushed the ‘Big Lie’ in order to make himself and his family money and didn’t care about what it would mean for democracy. What remains dangerous for the nation is that the same supporters he ripped off will only double down on the Big Lie. They will continue trying to tear down our free and fair elections. Americans must stand up and fight for the future of the nation before it is too late.”
